Une expression anglaise que j'adore

Bless your little cotton socks.

Une façon de dire "Il est mignon" à quelqu'un, souvent un enfant qui a dit ou fait quelque chose de charmant ou naïf.

Voici ma première expérience avec l'expression :

J'habitais à Harpenden en Angleterre dans une petite famille très charmante. Après être allée au cinéma avec des amies, je suis rentrée et j'ai raconté l'histoire à Uli, la mère de famille.

Comme je n'avais rien compris au film, elle a répondu "Bless your little cotton socks."

Bless your little cotton socks.

A term of endearment used for a child who has done something sweet or charming.

My first encounter with the expression :

I lived with a lovely family in Harpenden and one day I came home and told Uli the story of the film I just watched with friends. She realised I had not understood the story and said "Bless your little cotton socks"
